Case in point, Netanyahu here:

The hallmarks of authoritarians are devastatingly crystal clear. They lack empathy, are narcissistic, lie with impunity, and are cruel, all in service of their goal to fully control their constituency.

The opposite of authoritarians are those public servants who possess empathy, selflessness and work hard to drive effective solutions for marginalized folks.

Empathetic leaders are not soft, in fact, they are fierce. That ability to understand who is being mistreated, why, and the most effective solutions is a true superpower. In truth, that very superpower makes them formidable as leaders.
