The human condition in politics fascinates me. How humans consume information and in turn are motivated to act is what keeps me riveted. Right now, we are seeing in real time how political campaigns are successfully persuading voters in very different ways than ever before.

So, how are they being influenced?
You’re scrolling through Instagram at 11 PM. A lifestyle influencer you’ve followed for years—the one who convinced you to buy that overpriced and oversized water bottle—suddenly starts posting about a Senate candidate in Ohio. The content looks authentic. Natural, even. But tucked at the bottom, in tiny letters: #ad #partner.
The real problem is that not all influencers are clearly labeling their posts with #ad or #partner and yet, are paid by campaigns to influence their followers.
