I'm Canadian and I've thoroughly enjoyed many NPR & PBS programs and articles over the years. These are fantastic resources not only for Americans but for the world at large. To me, these are some of the shining beacons of America and I would absolutely hate to see them snuffed out.

I feel (as a non-journalist) that every reporter in the civilized world should take up a battle sword or axe and go for Sir Donald’s lifeblood! I tend toward vulgarity when commenting on his fetor and stained britches as well as his inanities.

Thank you for defending what is right and proper in journalism and the First Amendment!

Living as I do in a blue island (St Louis) in a red state (Missouri) NPR in particular is indispensable. Their local journalists cover the MO Statehouse more fairly and comprehensively than the regular media. More importantly the national and international coverage is unmatched. Moreover, the local station offers all-night access to BBC News for good measure. These so called conservative politicians know nothing about conserving anything. Just their seats and the money trough.

I love the sarcasm and hopefully it will cause some folks with blanket, unexamined, criticism of public broadcasting to reexamine it. I have my own doubts, especially when it comes to corporate sponsorships, but I would never throw the baby out with the bath water. Thank you for this educational and entertaining piece!

Your statistics are excellent and compelling. I am a fan of the channel. Not NPR, which I turned off after 911 with their Islamophobia narrative. I have watched all the shows you listed plus many more throughout my lifetime and my children's. The business model of PBS &sister agency NPR is wrong. Period. Taxpayer funded media broadcasting has no place in government! The substance of the channel is very good for advertisers and cable subscribers like EVERY OTHER MEDIA CORPORATION. I will be a subscriber.

I think as Uri Berliner outlined, NPR has lost many American's trust:
