Good advice here this morning ☕ Marie. I think the key to keeping Social security, Medicare, Medicaid, Section Eight (etc) and the Food Stamp programs is the Maga Base and those who voted for trump. If his base voice their opinions Loud Enough, he does Listen!!! But, after what I saw during the inauguration, he did abandoned his supporters out in the cold with no refunds for their troubles?! Just saying, Thank You, and will reStack ASAP 💯👍
How a d what can be done to be sure 2026 elections won't be hacked? Get people in power who WILL audit and challenge elections as part of QA given the history.
If we did not have top democrats challenge the last elections despite the evidence how can we depend on the 2026 one. It will only be harder. Will the election be all paper?
All of this is great advice - except for counting on the dems to organize. They're not just a lost cause, they're inept beyond measure. It is on everyone doing this locally to activate.
I worry about the same thing. Hitler took over and in a year cancelled constitutional rights and eliminated democracy that fast, we need to resist every moment we can right now. I don't want to help people who could care less about me build power. I want leadership that cares about the citizens of the United States of America. I don't want to be represented by Sean Casten who might not be a billionaire, but definitely has financial resources greater than 99% of the people living in this district. Rather than all this non-sense about fighting and standing in way can you just work with the new administration to help restore greatness to this country?
Paul, thank you for your note. If the currrent administration cared about people and working with people, I would help them. They do not. They made it clear they only are worried about billionaires. I am very worried about prices, our safety, security and housing. I don’t think the current administration cares about anything, but helping billionaires make more money. Every company has said they are planning to raise prices. I am not wealthy - I cannot afford these prices or a healthcare system that bankrupts people and is making folks sicker. The current democratic leaders may not be able to help either. Maybe we need all new. Regardless, I agree super rich people in Charge is not the answer

I find it naive people talk like the nightmare will last 4 years. How do we know there will elections in 4 years?
